Copper Mountain College

Located six miles east of Joshua Tree, Copper Mountain College (CMC) is renowned as the college built by the people. The first phase of CMC was paid almost entirely with local private money and subsequent phases received substantial private help. CMC’s road to independence was accelerated by legislative action to recognize its uniquely strong local support.
